Greenwood Military Aviation Museum Welcomes New Summer Student
The Greenwood Military Aviation Museum Staff and Society members welcomed a new summer university student this year, Mackenzie West. A dynamic local individual with many outstanding credentials, Mackenzie is from the Grafton area, graduating from Central Kings Rural High School and being very active within the community, involved in the 4H program with animals, was prime minister of her high school student government, participated in the beyond borders club, the music department, hockey, ringette and other extra-curricular activities. with a keen interest in the Canadian government and the world of politics. With a keen interest in the Canadian government and the world of politics, Mackenzie travelled to Ottawa for her first year of post- secondary education at Carleton University, studying Public Affairs and Policy Management. She is hoping, eventually, to work within international relations and represent women within government.
Here for the summer working with the Museum, Mackenzie will be learning about the Canadian military, 14 Wing Greenwood and the Greenwood Military Aviation Museum, working alongside experienced staff and volunteers welcoming visitors, helping make improvements and updating the Museum after a series of COVID-19 shutdowns. the Museum is now open Tuesday to Saturday 9am-4pm.
